I AM Powerful is a social emotional adult learning program based on transpersonal development, personal behavioral management techniques, leadership development and the latest research on how brains work. The program gives participants the life tools to be self-responsible, navigate challenges, relationships and experiences, to redirect their own behavior consciously, create results intentionally and to manage their emotions in the process.

We focus on cultivating the following primary results, through measurable outcomes:

• Self-Sufficiency
• Self-Responsibility
• Self-Efficacy – The belief that I can do ‘it’.
• Practical Life and Behavior Management Skills

I AM Powerful, when delivered as a direct service program in social settings, is a structured support group delivered once a week, for two hours over an 8-week period. Aftercare, for both limited and ongoing time frames, is also provided and available.

The program is an incredibly flexible and foundational program that activates whatever the individual’s and agency’s objectives are. Watch our videos to see what our participants say about their experiences in the program!

The Shade Tree Shelter

This 300+ bed shelter in Las Vegas NV serves a population of all homeless women and children, several of which are also victims of domestic violence, assault, sexual assault and rape, as well as mental health and addictions; often in combinations, with high risk factors and usually severe.

'I AM Powerful' initial series is provided as a structured support group series once a week for 2 hours per session over an 8-week period, facilitated by 1-2 facilitators.

'I AM Powerful' aftercare is provided as an ongoing structured support group once a week for 2 hours per session in consecutive 8-week periods, facilitated by 1-2 facilitators. All women who've 'graduated' the initial series are welcome to continue attending the 'I AM Powerful' aftercare series, whether or not they still reside at the shelter.

Youth Offender's Drug Court

The Youth Offenders Court is a drug court in the court room of the honorable Judge Cedric Kerns serving young adults approximately 17-25 and their families approximately 17-87+. All of the offenders are habitual offenders who are severe addicts. This one-of-a-kind program will soon be offering the 'I AM Powerful' program to both offenders and their families. Judge Kerns and the design of the Youth Offenders program aligns brilliantly with the 'I AM Powerful' program's commitment to, and focus on, responsibility and sustainability. In order to be accepted into the Youth Offenders Court and be offered court ordered diversion programming, such as 'I AM Powerful', the families must also make the same commitments as the offenders. Judge Kerns understands that to have long term sustainable results the entire generational cycle must shift. 'I AM Powerful' will be a court ordered program provided to both offenders and their families in the 8-week initial program and as an on-going aftercare program both in gender specific, mixed group and integrated family/offender formats.

We also offer staff development seminars, speaking engagements and organizational consulting for increased outcomes and effectiveness to all of our organizational partners as optional resources.

The Shade Tree Shelter is currently in the process of raising funds for a full implementation model of the 'I AM Powerful' program to integrate organizational design, staff development and facility design and layout.
